How exactly has one good deed landed me in the penalty box?

Ice Knights defenseman Zach Blackburn has come down with the flu, and my BFF—his PR manager—begs me to put my nursing degree to use and get him back to health. Of course she would call in a favor for the most hated man in Harbor City.

But when he’s finally on the mend and I’m sneaking out of his place, everything goes sideways. Paparazzi spot me and pictures, plus accusations that I slept with him, fly faster than a hockey puck.

At first, all of Harbor City wants my blood—or to give me a girlie-girl makeover. But then…the team finally wins a game. And now this fickle town wants me with the big jerk twenty-four seven.

Argh. I never slept with him the first time! But no one will listen. Then the grumpy bastard goes and promises to break his no-fan-appearances rule to help raise money for a free health clinic—but only if I’m rink-side at every game. That’s not a deal I can turn down.

But when the team keeps winning, and I realize there’s more to him than his bad reputation, suddenly remembering to keep my real hands off my fake date gets harder and harder to do.

Tomboy is the third book in The Hartigan’s series written by Avery Flynn. If you are a fan, like me, and have read the first two books in the series, Butterface and Muffin Top, then you know Flynn brings her A game with her signature brand of hot sexy heroes along with a lot of laughter that will have tears coming out of your eyes.

Hunky hero, Zach Blackburn, Ice Knight’s defenseman, has come down with the flu. Known as the most hated man in Harbor City because of his crappy attitude and even crappier playing style on the hockey rink, leads his PR manager practically begging her friend, Fallon, to make sure Zack gets over the man flu and fast before the next scheduled game. Fallon could not believe her misfortune when she is saddled with bad boy Zack, but is it a match made in heaven or in hell?

Avery Flynn’s books are an automatic auto-buy for me. I don’t even need to read a synopsis to know that whatever book she puts out will be great regardless. Flynn writes with such heart and soul and her stories flow so effortlessly. I always know when I pick up one of her books I will be laughing my a** off. What I also love about Flynn is her heroines. They do not fit into a mold, have flaws and real life issues that most women can relate to. Also, each book in the series can be read as a standalone. While, I like to read in order, it is definitely not necessary.

Zack and Fallon have this instant connection, no not a love kind, more so of a “I hate you but want to rip your clothes off” kinda connection. But, we all know where that usually leads anyway. The banter between Zack and Fallon is really cute especially the names they call each other. Sparks also fly when the two of them together. When Fallon is named as Zack’s “lady luck,” she is not sure she would call it “lucky.” What is a girl to do under these circumstances? Try NOT to fall in love with Harbor City’s most hated!

Tomby is another five star read from the talented author, Avery Flynn. I am so glad some of the guys from the Ice Knights team have their own stories to tell and I can’t wait to read every single one of them.
