A feel good read to make you laugh-out-loud - Misfits Farm

And so the end is near…

In the final chapter of the best-selling book series, we find Amy and Elle facing their toughest challenge together yet: cancer.

After Elle’s shock diagnosis, it’s left to Amy to balance the pregnancy from hell with running their business and supporting her sick best friend with all the grace and fortitude of a drunk bull in a china shop.

As always, chaos is never far behind the pair and with life never making it easy on them, an international move on the cards and all the ups and downs of family life in between, the two women have a lot to contend with before they reach the finish line.

Besides, they’ve come through worse than this and survived…haven’t they?

Amy and Elle are back for one final time as they navigate their way through life, death and what it means to keep on going. Life is not all roses and sunshine. Now that Elle is battling cancer, it is up to Amy to keep it all together bumbling through life the only way Amy knows how. With love, laughter and tears, Elizabeth McGivern shows once again why we all need friends like Amy and Elle.

I can’t express just how much I love this series. Right from the the very first book, Amy Cole Has Lost Her Mind, I fell in love with both Amy and Elle. They are the friends we all wish we had or maybe do have! They are back once again making us laugh with even more hijinks and disasters. Amy is experiencing the pregnancy from hell and often thinks she looks like a whale, her giant bump has taken over making seeing her feet quite the challenge. Grooming also takes on a new meaning when you can’t even see past your belly and one of the funniest scenes involves waxing and her husband Ben. I laughed so hard I was snorting. Amy’s mother is still a nightmare and now Amy has hit a new low after being fat shamed by a seven year old.

Amy and Elle’s friendship is even stronger and better than ever. Their business is slowly taking off even though they can’t quite come up with a more appropriate name than Badass Business, Inc. But, knowing Amy and Elle the name is kinda fitting! Life is going great until they are both faced with a devastating loss that completely rocks their world. Through it all Amy learns that sometimes life can be perfectly imperfect.

Elizabeth McGivern is such a gifted and talented writer who easily shows real life through humor and sadness in such a way that is unique with her signature brand of comedy that has the power to make you laugh, cry and sometimes do both at the same time. I think everyone can relate and/or take something away from the Amy Cole series and find parallels in their own life which make this series all the more endearing. I know for myself I am going to have a hard time knowing that the series has come to an end, but Amy and Elle will stay with me for many years to come.

If you have not started this series as of yet, go run now and pick up the first book…actually pick up all three books in the Amy Cole series and fall in love with Amy and Elle just as I have. You will not regret it.
